Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are a series of thin, transparent trays, each shaped to move your teeth a small step at a time. They are nearly invisible when you wear them and come out to eat, brush and floss, which is why many adults and teenagers choose them over braces.
At Just Dent, aligner treatment is planned and supervised by Dr. Prashanth C John, BDS, MDS (Orthodontics): a specialist orthodontist, Certified Invisalign Provider and Certified Spark Aligner Provider, at both Kayamkulam and Haripad.

Clear Aligners: common questions
Are clear aligners really invisible?
They are made of thin, transparent plastic, so most people will not notice them unless they look closely. Some cases use small tooth-coloured attachments on a few teeth to help the aligners grip, and these are discreet too.
How many hours a day do aligners need to be worn?
Around 20 to 22 hours a day. Take them out only to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to clean your teeth.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
It depends on how far your teeth need to move. Many cases take between several months and a year and a half; your orthodontist will give you an estimate after examining your teeth.
What is the difference between Invisalign and Spark?
Both are clear aligner systems that work the same way, with a series of custom trays worn in sequence. They differ in the aligner material and the software used to plan treatment. Dr. Prashanth C John is certified in both and can recommend one for your case.
Can I eat with aligners in?
No. Take them out to eat, then brush before putting them back in so food is not trapped against your teeth.
